こんな感じでフィールドいっぱいにチューリップが咲いてます。こんなに色んな色のチューリップがあったのかと驚きます。

久々に週末の天気が良かったので、Mt. Vernonのチューリップフェスティバルに行ってきました。既にもう切られているのもありましたが、色とりどりのチューリップが咲いてました。このフェスティバルには何度か行ってますが、写真を始めてから初めてのフェスティバル。いつもよりも楽しかったです。

猫はマイペースな生き物。自由気ままに寝たい時に寝たい所で寝る生き物。。。僕の書斎にはL字型の机があるのですが、コンピュータで作業をしている途中で気づいたら、ちび太が横で寝ているじゃぁないですか。いやぁ、何とも言えず笑ってしまいました。
Cats behave as they please. They sleep wherever they want and whenever they want. I found my beloved cat Chibita sleeping right next to me on my L-shaped desk while I was working on my computer. It was another peaceful moment that brought a smile on my face.

来月の母の日まではまだ少し時間がありますが、今年は（いつも何かしてるわけじゃないんですが）これを母に送ろうと思います。どんな反応が来るのか楽しみですが、僕が撮ったものだとは思ってくれないかもしれませんねぇ。
There is still time until Mother’s Day. Usually, I do not do anything special; however, I think I will send this photo to my mom. I am anxious to see/hear her reaction. But most likely, she would not believe this is one of the photos I have taken.

週末に日本の友人と話しをした際に、カメラやコンピュータのスピーカーの話にも話が飛んだ。新しい住居でのコンピュータスピーカーの購入を考えているらしく、せっかく購入するのだからこだわって良いものを買うとの事。僕もお金があれば音楽愛好家であった叔父のようにオーディオ機器に時間とお金をかけたいと思っているが、今のところはそんな余裕はなし。でも同じ聞く音楽なら多少はこだわろうということで、コンピュータ・iPod用のスピーカーにはKlipsch iFiを選んだ。コンピュータで映像を楽しむ必要がないので2.1チャンネルで十分。出力、音、見た目のどれも満足してます。

今朝は大粒の雪が降ることから始まり、晴れたと思えば、雨、雹、霙と本当に変な天気。ただ寒いことは確か。そんな寒い日は日本だったらコタツの上に猫が寝るのかもしれませんが、我が家のちび太は毛布の上をしっかりと陣取ってほぼ一日過ごしています。

三月の終わりにも雪が降ったけど、昨晩から雹、雪、霙といった天気。桜は大半が散ってしまったけど、他の花は綺麗に咲いていたり蕾を膨らませているのにも関わらず、こんな天気。北の方ではかなり降るらしく、チューリップフェアに行くのは中止になりそうです。

この椅子とこのコーナーが僕が家で一番気に入っている空間です。この椅子、Stressless Chairと呼ばれるもので、ストレスを軽減させてくれるというのが謳い文句。本当かどうかはさておき、この椅子で音楽を聴きながら読書するというのが大好きです。一年半前に引っ越した際に、せっかく買うのなら気に入ったものを買おうと奥さんと決めて買いました。日曜の午前にコーヒーを飲みながら、好きな音楽をかけ、新聞を読む。実に充実した時間と空間です。
