猪 ～Javelina～

アリゾナの自然には毎回驚かされますが、今回の驚きはJavelinaと呼ばれる猪でした。滞在していた家のフェンスの向こうに5匹の家族が昼寝をしていたのを見つけたのが最初でした。見えるかちょっと分かりませんが、下の写真がその現場。
Every time I go to Arizona, I am surprised by what I find in nature.  This time it was Javelinas.  I found a pack of Javelinas sleeping under a tree in the photo below.

オリオン座 ～Orion～

アリゾナから見た夜空に浮かんでいたオリオン座。まだまだ自然が多いアリゾナで、周りにあまり光がないためか星空が物凄く綺麗でした。日が沈んでからすぐに撮った感じのオリオン座。実際に撮ってみると肉眼では見えない周りの星がかなりの数あることに驚きました。他にも星空を撮ってみたものの、オリオン座以外に分かったのは北斗七星くらいでした。。。。

アリゾナで撮った夕陽です。普段は曇り空の多いシアトルにいるため、天気の良い、そして比較的平地に近いアリゾナでの夕陽は素晴らしかった。
A photo of sunset I took in Arizona. I am used to the cloudy sky of Seattle, the sunny weather and the sunset I saw on the relatively flat ground was wonderful.

子供部屋 ～Baby’s Room～

5月末に子供が生まれる予定の僕ら夫婦は、少しずつ少しずつ子供部屋の準備をしています。第一子ということもあり、赤ちゃんの性別は生まれてくるまで知らないでおこうということもあり、部屋は出来るだけニュートラルにしようと心がけています。まだ完成していませんが、こんな感じの子供部屋。部屋のペンキ塗り、本棚と箪笥のペンキ塗り、クリブの組み立てからボーダーを張るに至って、義理の両親が手伝ってくれました。義理の両親は既に孫が2人いるものの、長女（僕の奥さん）に子供が生まれるということをかなり喜んでくれていて、色々と手伝ってくれています。本当に感謝。まだ2ヵ月半も先のことですが、この部屋に入るたびに自分が父親になるということを意識し、どんなに可愛い子が生まれてくるのか楽しみにしています。
